La Tetería is exactly what you were looking for when you were looking for a teahouse. It's a little stark and over-organized, and you have to ask for milk separate from your tea, as that's not generally done here in Chile, but they have many varieties from flavored rooibos to several kinds of chai and lapsang souchong and other tea-purist's needs. The service is good, the prices fair, and with wifi and a warm cup of tea (or cold in the summer), what else do you need It's also a great place to pick up gifts, and has nice lunches including a quinoa-avocado timbale with a mixed mesclun salad on the side. It's a perfect pick-me-up on a side street off of Providencia´s heavily trammeled shopping areas.
