Swing by recently opened Mai Chi Restaurant and Lounge in Wicker Park for more than just phò. Offerings range from bánh mì (Vietnamese sub sandwiches) with ham, pork roll, pate, and pickles to tamarind Dungeness crab and lemongrass stir-fry. The papaya salad with shrimp is perfect if you're looking for something a little lighter. With a full bar and a selection of house cocktails, wine, and beer, you might be able to bring yourself to select something off of the slightly overpriced entrée menu. As MC finds its footing, it's sure to become a mainstay on the bustling strip of Ashland Ave.
