A four day Blues festival with seven international acts, featuring in the marquee, five Blues artists at the acoustic room in the market house and over 35 gigs by ten bands on The Blues Trail.Described and recognised as one of the best blues festivals in Europe and now in its 19th year, this international festival brings U.S and international Blues artists to Monaghan Town. There are three distinct elements to the festival. The first is the Blues Trail in five of the best pubs in town where ten Blues bands will appear over the three days and nights (no cover charge). Secondly, there is the acoustic room at the market house, a building built in 1792, which hosts unique and original Blues artists from the Mississippi region. The venue only holds 100 people so it offers a great opportunity for you to get up close and personal with the artists! Tickets for this are priced at €15 per day.Finally, get down to the late night marquee to catch the full electric sounds of international Blues acts hitting the stage from 11pm until 3am. There are full bar facilities on site.Tickets for the marquee are priced at €20 per night or €50 for all three nights. A Blues extravaganza not to be missed!
