Moy House in Lahinch, County Clare, was originally built in the mid 18th Century as home to Sir Augustine Fitzgerald. In it's majestic splendour, the house prevails over the breathtaking Lahinch Bay, set on 15 acres of grounds adorned by mature woodland and a picturesque river. Major restoration has transformed this country house in keeping with present day expectations of superior standards, yet preserving it's unique character, style and ambience.Each of the nine bedrooms at Moy House is individually crafted with a mixture of classic and contemporary functionalism and aesthetics. A number of guest bedrooms, have free-standing original cast iron baths. It is complemented with the traditional drawing room and library area. The town itself boasts two superb golf courses both at Lahinch Golf Club. The links championship course and the 18 hole Castle course certainly won't disappoint you. Just a 35 minute drive from Moy House is the Greg Norman designed Doonbeg Golf Links course, also offering spectacular golfing in an amazing setting.A visit through the Burren region is a must as it is simply unique. A spectacular array of wild flowers, archaeology and landscape. View some of Ireland’s native flora, from orchid species to the much-loved blue gentian. Enjoy the elegant butterflies as you enjoy a walk to explore the archaeology which hosts ring forts and Neolithic tombs. Daily walks can be organised with a local guide. The Aran Islands are a group of three rugged islands off the coast of Clare- Inishmor, Inisheer and Inishmaan. Doolin Ferries and Cliffs of Moher Cruises both operate a passenger ferry service to The Aran Islands from nearby Liscannor and Doolin during the months of April to October.
