In a neighborhood where restaurants come and go faster than a teenager can change her outfits, it's amazing that this place has been here for over 50 years. As the name suggests, the halmuhni (grandma) specializes in nakji (squid) and she doesn't skimp on the spice. Be forewarned: this is the kind of spicy that sneaks up on you, and your mouth will be on fire by the end. It's a very casual neighborhood restaurant, with Korean-style floor tables and not much in the way of decor.
