Nolita

Av. Isidora Goyenechea 3456 Cuisines: Italian, American

About

Taking its cue from Northern Italy and New York (yes, its name was borrowed from the NYC neighborhood), Nolita specializes in cuisine from the former and style from the latter. The El Bosque neighborhood is often referred to as "Sanhattan," and so a restaurant like Nolita only makes sense with its cosmopolitan atmosphere, poised service, and refined cuisine created by a chef with roots in the U.S. The pasta dishes are rich and decadent with specialties such as ravioli stuffed with ricotta and wild boar draped in a mushroom sauce, but the menu highlights are the classic seafood dishes: shrimp with garlic tossed over linguini or trout stuffed with spinach and drizzled with a creamy shrimp sauce. With the exception of such indulgent appetizers as caviar and oysters, the prices here are very reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber in this neighborhood.
