Pantheon: Due Colonne

via del Seminario 112 Cuisines: Italian, Spanish

About

Two sisters, Chiara and Gina, run the restaurant but the cook is Spanish and this is apparent in the cuisine: tasty Italian cooking is augmented by Spanish dishes like paella and 'allega' sauces cooked in beer. The first course dishes based on vegetables in season are a treat while the wine list and dessert trolley are also to be commended. The restaurant takes its name from the two columns (one marble, one granite) found nearby at the Pigna d'Oro which are now to be seen in the Vatican.
