Pasaia

Juan XXIII Kalea

About

Pasaia is a town made up of three different boroughs: San Juan, San Pedro and Antxo. Although its status as an independent municipality is quite recent, its origin dates from the 12th century. The village's urban development is inextricably linked with that of the bay and port of the same name. This port has always been extremely important as far as trade and fishing are concerned. San Juan must be mentioned because of its historic interest, with a winding street linking Mount Jaizkibel and the sea. In this area, the parish and the Santo Cristo de la Bonanza Church are worthy of note.
