Patlican/Aubergine Restaurant

Harborside Cuisines: Arabic

About

Harika ("great" in Turkish) best describes a dining experience at this innocuous restaurant on the harborfront. Thanks to its continued success (and the fact that harborfront restaurants are no longer permitted to set up tables on the waterside promenade), Patlican recently doubled its interior space but remains cozy and delightful. First-time guests are usually drawn to the filet of wild boar, an abundant entree served with slices of eggplant, tomato, and vegetables, and slow-roasted until tender. But leave me to the grilled prawns -- flavorful and slightly spicy -- and a perfectly marinated swordfish sis any day of the week. These are just samples of the restaurant's creativity in their special menu.
