Sathya Sai Ashram or Prasanthi Nilayam is the name given to the holy abode of Sathya Sai Baba. Literally meaning 'the abode of peace', the ashram was formally inaugurated in the year 1950. In the ashram, tourists can also find educational institutions, stadiums and all the modern facilities. Visitors of the ashram are required to strictly comply with the set of rules and regulations.
Assembly hall in the ashram is the place, where Sathya Sai Baba gives his Darshan to the devotees. The ashram also serves as headquarters of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.
