Two Indian gems shine in the square bounded by Faisaliya Shopping Centre in the north, Al Andalus Hotel in the south, King Fahd and Olaya streets catering to mainstream diners and vegetarians: Shazan Restaurant is on the NW corner just behind the twin triangular towers of the Abraj Building and .. the ceiling decor is something else akin to the Kingdom Tower Skywalk lift... The Merhaba Restaurant occupies the whole ground floor of a building just north of the parking lot on the north side of the Al-Andalus .. and has brought the garden atmosphere inside to compensate for the concrete realities outside. Both are accommodating with gracious staff, serve delicious food and are fair priced Favorite Dish: Shazan has fresh Palak Paneer, Great Naans and Rotis, and yummy Ras Malai The Merhaba has excellent Malai Kofta, Fresh Lassi, Carrot Halwa and Kheer Both make great Masala Tea for that perfect finish to complement the modest bill.
