Stieglbräu

Wilhelm Greil Strasse 25

About

This brewery-inn is very popular with the locals. Stiegl, surprisingly, is not a beer from Tyrol but comes from Salzburg. That said, it is one of Austria's best beers and this is by no means accidental; the history and experience behind this particular brewery can be traced back well into the 16th century. The menu complements the beer, with flavorful regional meals such as roast pork with herb salad, 'brewery goulash' or Ziller valley cheese dumplings. Guests can eat in the main restaurant area or retire into one of the other traditional rooms. As no brewery should be without one, there is also a sizable garden for the summer months. Please call ahead for the timings on Sundays and holidays.
