About

We had to sneak a peek at the inside of this restaurant since we sat outside on the large terrace shaded by umbrellas. The dishes are all prepared with a nice variety of vegetables, which is unusual for Hungarian cuisine. The dishes were the traditional fare, heavy on the portions. The ewe cheese salad had the nondescript iceberg lettuce, but the dressing was mild and tasty; the portions of cheese were generous enough to share. Chicken breast rolled around asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and tarragon potatoes was an incredible three large pieces of chicken. The turkey breast with cheese sauce, an eggplant salad, and jasmine rice, was beautifully presented, but the turkey was a thin, yet large slice. In the off season the interior dining is cozy and intimate. The inside is made up of small rooms with tables and chairs and gives the feel of entering someone's home, being decorated with wall hangings, some paintings, and other regional touches. It is a bit difficult to get to from the Pest side, but worth the effort.
