This tavern is not luxurious in any way, but it serves good, affordable food in a position only 200 meters (656 ft) from the Vatican. Even priests from St. Peter's come here to dine on such well-prepared dishes as potato ravioli with guanciale, an Italian specialty made from dry pig cheeks. The best pasta is the homemade cavatelli with chicory and cherry tomatoes. All the dishes are based on fresh regional produce such as broiled lamb chops with eggplant served with polenta.
