The old courthouse, on the north-eastern corner of Parsons and Hartley Streets, was built around 1928 by Emil Martin, who also built the Residency, on the opposite corner, and Government houses at the southern end of Hartley Street.The original courthouse of Alice Springs now houses the Pioneer Womens Hall of Fame.
