About

The Old Farmhouse is a beautifully refurbished, 200-year-old farmhouse found in an idyllic setting in the heart of the Irish countryside. It is located on a family-run dairy farm, where guests are sure to receive a very warm welcome. The farmhouse is suitable for anyone seeking tranquillity as well as families with children. On the farm, children are welcome to take part in milking the cows and collecting the breakfast eggs. Also, Bruno the pony never fails to be a favourite with both children and adults. The four-star accommodation provides comfort and relaxation, with a cosy open fire in the sitting room, which opens up into the well-equipped kitchen. The farmhouse can sleep eight people, with two double and two twin rooms. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi bath. Bed linen and some towels are provided, while a baby cot is also available. On arrival, guests are welcomed with home baking and throughout their stay, they are welcome to visit the main house for a cup of tea and a chat. Guests can drive right through the heart of the Burren to the Aillwee Cave and Ballyvaughan. From there they can follow the coast road via the beaches of Fanore to the fishing village of Doolin, famous for its traditional Irish music sessions and day trips to the Aran Islands. Not to be missed, just south of Doolin, are the Cliffs of Moher and a couple of kilometres on, there is Lahinch, home to a beautiful beach and championship golf course. In the evenings, visitors can enjoy traditional Irish music and set dancing in Kilfenora. The owners are happy to teach guests a few steps, so they can join in on the fun themselves.
