Trekking in Calvary Mount

Calvary Mount is an Eco-tourism destination on the high ranges of  Idukki district in Kerala. It is about 12 km from  Idukki. From the Idukki and Kattapana main road, you can trek up to the top. Or you can cover part of the way up to the ticket counter by jeep. The entry fee per person is Rs 5. Near the ticket counter there is a shop. You can have some refreshments there after the climb. Though there are huts to stay overnight, they are in a dilapidated condition (as in January  2007). The facility is maintained by Calvary Mount River/Forest Protection Council, Nagarampara, Ayyappankovil Forest Division.
