The wine cellar prides itself on stocking only Rieslings produced in nearby vineyards -- an excellent selection. Anyone interested in sampling the region's legendary wines can head down to the cellar here. You get not only wine but platters of traditional German food. In summer a shady terrace fills up quickly. Inside you dine at old wooden tables resting under exposed beams. Menu items are made with fresh ingredients and changed with the seasons. Try such dishes as slices of duck breast in an herb vinaigrette or else filet of turbot with vegetables, even pork medallions in a pepper sauce. The Stube lies in the baroque landmark, Palais Kesselstatt, which was the residence of the counts of Kesselstatt.
