Clery

Plaza de la Trinidad Cuisines: Spanish

About

This restaurant is also one of the busiest bars in the Parte Vieja. It is located in the picturesque Plaza de la Trinidad, the only area that was not damaged by the fire that wiped out the city in 1813. Its cuisine is traditional Basque food, with some modern touches, particularly for the meat selections. Two dishes you must try are rice with clams and the baked crab. Keep in mind that ordering shellfish (if it is on the menu), will make your meal cost a lot more. When the weather is good you can sit at a table on the terrace in the busy square. Closed for holidays for two weeks in June and two weeks in November.
