Drogheda Samba Festival is a three-day celebration of Samba, Latin and African music and dance with indoor and outdoor gigs, workshops and a carnival parade. This event is the annual gathering of samba groups from all over Ireland who are joined by groups from Britain and mainland. Highlights are five hours of non-stop music and dance in the main street, a carnival parade and late-night fringe festival Global Grooves, which focuses on percussion driven world music. Other events include a salsa night and a Samba mass. Dates to be confirmed.
