Some visitors come to San Sebastian to try the famous pintxos without understanding the best way to try them-by bar hopping. Once you have a list of favorites, it's easy to waltz around the parte vieja for the tortilla de patata from one bar and the gambas a la plantxa from another. La Viña should be your last stop-the cheesecake here is incredible. Trays upon trays of this baked cheesecake line the countertop: one "slice" is actually enough to share with a friend, and the slice is cut in half so that you won't fight over that last delectably creamy not-too-sweet bite. -Emily Monaco
