Previously located in the Ste-Helene old fort, the Festin du Gouverneur show is now presented at the Vauquelin restaurant in Old Montreal. This child-oriented attraction blends traditional Quebecois food with a rousing rendition of the province's history. Music plays a large part in the festivities with everything from bagpipes to traditional Quebec folk singing; kids will hardly know they are learning anything. Audience members participate in all the activities. The entire four-course dinner and show lasts about two hours. Reservations are essential. Refer to their website for the performance schedule and rates.
